Summary
NBG Flexible Packaging Machinery makes flexographic printing machines. We built an interactive 3D configurator for its Starflex Printography machine, run on a large touchscreen at NBG's booths at Plast India 2026 and CPHI & PMEC India 2025. Visitors spent longer at the booth, and NBG's sales team made it their main way of explaining the machine.
The brief
The Starflex Printography machine is a large industrial printing system with many modules, configurations and technical specifications. Taking the full machine to trade shows is difficult and expensive.
Brochures and photographs could not show buyers what the machine can do, how it works inside or which options are available. NBG needed an interactive tool that could stand in for the physical machine on the exhibition floor.

What we built
We designed and developed a fully interactive 3D configurator for the Starflex, running on a large touchscreen display. Visitors could rotate and zoom a high-fidelity 3D model in real time and look at every component, from the central drum to the individual printing stations, drying units and rewinding system.
Key features:
- Real-time module configuration
- Exploded view to show internal mechanisms
- Technical specification overlays
- Comparison mode to view two configurations side by side

How it worked on the day
The configurator ran at two shows, in front of buyers, distributors and industry professionals.
Plast India 2026
Plast India 2026, the 12th International Plastics Exhibition, Conference & Convention, ran from 5–10 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, under the theme “Bharat Next”. It brought together over 2,000 exhibitors from 80+ countries and 600,000+ visitors, across processing machinery, raw materials, automation, recycling and sustainable solutions. NBG used the show to launch the configurator.

CPHI & PMEC India 2025
CPHI & PMEC India 2025, South Asia's leading pharmaceutical event, took place from 25–27 November 2025 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. It had 1,500+ exhibitors and 43,000+ attendees, covering pharma machinery, packaging, drug delivery, laboratory equipment and analytical technology.

Results
- Visitors spent more time at the booth with the configurator than with static displays, at both shows.
- NBG's sales team reported that it became their main tool for explaining the product, replacing long verbal pitches with a self-guided, visual demo.
- NBG's leadership noted that it helped close the gap between the machine's technical complexity and buyers' understanding.
The same approach works for other complex industrial products, from pharmaceutical packaging equipment to any machine that is hard to bring to a show.
About the solution
3D product configurators
A touch-screen or tablet app where buyers choose the model, options and add-ons, watch key parts animate, and leave their details in the same app. Your booth becomes a lead-capture point, and your sales team gets a tool they can use after the show.
- Choose variants, options and configurations in real time
- Animations of key parts and how the machine works
- Lead form built in, with data you own
- Runs on touch screens, tablets, web and LED walls
Frequently asked questions
What did Metaverse911 build for NBG's Starflex Printography machine?
Metaverse911 designed and developed a fully interactive 3D configurator for NBG's Starflex Printography machine, running on a large touchscreen. Visitors could rotate and zoom a high-fidelity 3D model in real time and look at every component, from the central drum to the printing stations, drying units and rewinding system. It stood in for the physical machine on the exhibition floor.
What features does the NBG Starflex 3D configurator include?
The NBG Starflex 3D configurator includes real-time module configuration, an exploded view that shows internal mechanisms, technical specification overlays and a comparison mode for viewing two configurations side by side. These features let buyers understand what the flexographic printing machine can do, how it works inside and which options are available, which brochures and photographs could not show.
At which exhibitions did NBG use the Starflex 3D configurator?
NBG used the Starflex 3D configurator at Plast India 2026 and CPHI & PMEC India 2025. Plast India 2026 ran from 5 to 10 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, and NBG used it to launch the configurator. CPHI & PMEC India 2025 took place from 25 to 27 November 2025 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida.
Why did NBG need a 3D configurator instead of bringing the Starflex machine to shows?
The Starflex Printography machine is a large industrial printing system with many modules, configurations and technical specifications, so taking it to trade shows is difficult and expensive. Brochures and photographs could not show buyers what it does, how it works inside or which options exist. NBG needed an interactive 3D tool that could stand in for the physical machine.
What results did NBG see from the Starflex 3D configurator?
At both Plast India 2026 and CPHI & PMEC India 2025, visitors spent more time at NBG's booth with the 3D configurator than with static displays. NBG's sales team made it their main tool for explaining the machine, replacing long verbal pitches with a self-guided visual demo, and NBG's leadership said it helped close the gap between technical complexity and buyer understanding.
