A 3D printed AHU model, AR, touch kiosk and 3D film for Edgetech at ACREX 2026

Summary
Edgetech makes air handling units (AHUs) for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings across India. At ACREX India 2026 it was the event’s Next Gen Air Solutions Partner.
For its booth we built four connected experiences: a 3D printed miniature of the AHU, an AR layer that shows what is inside it, a touch-screen product kiosk and a looping 3D animated film. Over the three days, visitors came back to the booth several times.
The brief: explain a large, technical product in a few minutes
About Edgetech
Edgetech focuses on energy efficiency, indoor air quality and custom-engineered HVAC systems. As Next Gen Air Solutions Partner at ACREX 2026, it was expected to set a benchmark for how HVAC products are presented.

About ACREX India 2026
ACREX India, organised by ISHRAE, is the flagship event of the HVAC, refrigeration and building services industry. The 2026 edition, its 25th, filled Halls 2, 3 and 6 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, for three days, with engineers, consultants and business leaders from 40+ countries.
The challenge
AHUs are large, technical products, and bringing a full-size unit to a booth is impractical. Printed datasheets and static visuals do little in a hall of hundreds of exhibitors. The real problem was understanding, not just visibility.
“How do you convey the internal engineering, product variants, installation logic, and performance specifications of an AHU to a visitor who has three minutes at your booth, and ten other booths to visit?”

What we built
Four experiences, each with a specific job in the visitor journey.
A 3D printed miniature of the AHU
A precisely scaled miniature of Edgetech’s AHU gave visitors something physical to see, pick up and look at closely. In a hall full of flat screens and printed panels, it was the reason visitors stopped.
AR on the 3D model
Visitors pointed a device at the printed model to open an AR layer showing internal components, airflow paths and system details. They could see inside the machine without opening it.

A touch-screen product kiosk
The kiosk let visitors browse Edgetech’s range by specification, variant, use case and application at their own pace, without waiting for a salesperson. Procurement and technical visitors found it especially useful.
A 3D animated film
A looping 3D animation showed the AHU’s installation scenarios, internal mechanics and performance advantages. Even visitors who walked past without stopping got Edgetech’s core story in under 30 seconds.
How it worked on the day
The four elements worked as one layered journey, so the booth served every type of visitor, from the casual passer-by to the curious engineer and the procurement decision-maker:
- The film ran all the time, telling passers-by what Edgetech builds and why it matters.
- The 3D printed model drew people in to the booth.
- The AR layer gave curious visitors the deeper technical story on demand.
- The kiosk let technical evaluators research products on their own, while the sales team focused on qualified conversations.
Results
- Three days of engagement at ACREX 2026, with visitors returning to the booth multiple times.
- In a hall of hundreds of exhibitors, Edgetech’s booth was one visitors came back to and talked about.
- A large AHU was explained in full without bringing one to the show.
Frequently asked questions
How did Edgetech use AR at ACREX 2026?
The AR layer sat on a 3D printed scale model of Edgetech’s AHU. Visitors pointed a device at the model to see internal components, airflow paths and system specifications.
Why use a touch kiosk on an exhibition booth?
It lets technical and procurement visitors explore specifications, variants, use cases and applications independently, so the sales team can spend its time on qualified leads.
Which industries benefit most from this kind of booth?
Those with large or technical products that are hard to transport or demonstrate, including HVAC, manufacturing, real estate, defence, automotive, industrial equipment and infrastructure.
Can Metaverse911 build a booth like this for us?
Yes. We design and run AR product demos, touch kiosks, 3D animated films, scale models and holographic displays, and have delivered 35+ exhibition activations. Talk to our team about your next show.

Flat facia anamorphic content for Avantec Aircon at ACREX 2026

Summary
Avantec Aircon, an Indian maker of air handling units (AHUs), exhibited at ACREX India 2026 in Mumbai. We produced flat facia anamorphic content for its LED wall: a 3D film in which an Avantec AHU appears to float out of the screen, opens up to show its parts, and is shown at work in hospitals, malls, warehouses, data centres and factories.
We handled the whole pipeline, from 3D assets and motion design to LED-calibrated output and playback set-up at the show.
The brief: show the machines and the scale of the work
About Avantec Aircon
Avantec was founded in 2023 to make customised air handling solutions for demanding commercial and industrial sites. Its core team has 30+ years of collective AHU manufacturing experience, and the company set out as a specialist rather than a generalist.
The range covers comfort and clean room applications, industrial ventilation and energy recovery. Its AHUs are built to AHRI 1350 standards with CL1 leakage class ratings, AMCA certified fans and EN 1822 / ISO 16890 / UL certified filters.

About ACREX India 2026
ACREX India is the annual exhibition of the HVAC, refrigeration and intelligent building industry, organised by ISHRAE. The 2026 edition was its 25th year, held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, from 12 to 14 March 2026 across Halls 2, 3 and 6. The theme was ‘Unlocking Business Potential: Enhancing Opportunities, Accelerating Growth, Building a Better World’.
It is a busy show in a growing market: the Indian HVAC market is projected to grow from $11.8 billion in 2024 to $29.4 billion by 2030, a CAGR of 16.3%.
The challenge
Avantec wanted to show its HVAC machines and the scale of its project work across India’s most demanding sectors. Static visuals and a standard video loop would blend into the rest of the hall. The content needed to stop visitors before they reached the booth counter.

What we built
Flat facia anamorphic content is 3D animation calibrated for a flat LED display, so objects appear to extend beyond the screen or float in the air. It is the same technique used in the well-known 3D billboards in Seoul and Tokyo.
The Avantec film ran as a complete story in four parts.
Hero product visual
A photorealistic Avantec AHU, rendered in full 3D, appears to float out of the LED wall and hover in front of visitors.
Exploded view
The coils, fans, dampers and filters of an Avantec AHU separate in slow motion to show the engineering inside, communicating build quality without any text.

Sector showcase
A rotating sequence shows Avantec AHUs installed in its core sectors, each rendered with photorealistic lighting and context:
- Hospitals: operating rooms, ICUs and patient wards that need precise climate control
- Retail malls: consistent comfort across high-footfall spaces
- Warehouses: ventilation and climate control for storage and fulfilment centres
- Data centres: precision cooling for server rooms
- Factories: process cooling, ventilation and worker comfort
- Others: airports, educational institutions, hotels and pharmaceutical facilities
Brand loop
A looping brand film brings together the product, the installation settings and the brand identity, designed to run all day and look fresh to each new visitor who stops.

How we produced it
- Photorealistic product and environment renders calibrated for LED output
- Depth-layered animation built for the flat facia anamorphic effect
- Content mastered to the LED panel’s resolution, pitch and brightness
- Booth story structure and content sequencing
How it worked on the day
Visitors decide whether to visit a booth within 3 seconds of passing it. On the Avantec wall, a 3D AHU appeared to hover in mid-air, which made people stop before they had worked out what they were looking at.
Once they stopped, the loop gave them a reason to stay: product, technical detail, sector showcase and brand, in order. We configured playback at the show so the content performed as designed.

Results
- Avantec’s AHUs were shown at a scale and in detail that a physical display or banner could not offer.
- Visitors who watched the full loop came away knowing what Avantec makes, who it makes it for and why it matters.

The solutions on the stand
Product visualisation in AR
Scan a QR code or marker with a phone or tablet and your product appears in the real room at actual size. Your sales team carries the full product range in their pocket, at the booth, in the dealer showroom or at the customer's plant.
- 1:1 scale products placed on the floor or table
- Feature hotspots, animations and spec sheets
- Works on any modern phone or tablet
3D product configurators
A touch-screen or tablet app where buyers choose the model, options and add-ons, watch key parts animate, and leave their details in the same app. Your booth becomes a lead-capture point, and your sales team gets a tool they can use after the show.
- Choose variants, options and configurations in real time
- Animations of key parts and how the machine works
- Lead form built in, with data you own
- Runs on touch screens, tablets, web and LED walls
Anamorphic 4D content for LED walls
Anamorphic content makes your product look like it is coming out of the screen. On a corner (L-shape) or curved LED wall, visitors see a 3D illusion without glasses. It is the fastest way to get people to stop at your booth and film it on their phones.
- Flat, L-shape (90°), inward L and curved LED wall formats
- Built from your CAD files, product photos and brand story
- Typical film length 30–90 seconds, looped for the show
- Content sized to the exact LED wall at your venue
Standing out at ACREX India
With 450+ exhibitors over three days, a branded shell scheme is easy to walk past. Every brand at ACREX India is competing for the same 30 seconds of a visitor’s attention.

Get noticed from the aisle
Anamorphic 3D content gives a standard flat LED fascia depth, with no specialist hardware. 3D animation with exploded views and installation scenarios pulls visitors in from across the aisle.
Get visitors to interact
Touch kiosks and AR turn passive visitors into participants. The longer someone engages, the better they understand the product and the stronger the sales conversation that follows.
Capture better leads
People who spend time with AR or a touch kiosk have shown real product interest. A kiosk can also capture their details, so the sales team leaves with warm leads, not just footfall.
Frequently asked questions
